Despite using a Windows PC, I went with this option since the other one was EA App for Windows, and worlds get delivered through email as codes that you can redeem on so, in this case, the platform would not have mattered anyway. Instead of purchasing it through EA App, I went to ea.com and selected Origin for Mac as my platform.
I decided to purchase Roaring Heights tonight since it is on sale, despite the risk of the code not working. Be prepared to request a refund if it does not work. If not, but you want to test it out, keep in mind that I do not know whether this is an actual fix or if it was just a fluke that worked for me. If you were planning to purchase Roaring Heights anyway, you might consider attempting to purchase it this way.
Please note that this cannot yet be considered a solution since it has not been tested or confirmed by EA, but I wanted to share it since it worked for me.
